Swiftwater Creek
Revegetation Project:
Wasilla High School
students got out on one of the last days of the school year to revegetate a
damaged area along Swiftwater Creek by using vegetative mat, laying topsoil, and
planting grass seed, native wildflower seed, and dormant willow cuttings.
They also stabilized the banks to protect against erosion by securing cottonwood
rounds along the creek's edge.
